The examination takes two days. It begins with an hour of information
presented by PADI’s own examiner and he might check that you have all needed manuals and slates. Even though your nerves are highly-strung you
can feel that you’re going to do OK.
During a two hour exam you get to
show off the theoretical knowledge you acquired during your Divemaster course.
You pick the right answer from a, b, c or d - like the other PADI exams you took
before. There are five main topics from which you get questions:
-
Physics
- Physiology
- Dive planning
- General knowledge
and environment
- RDP (the table and the wheel)
You will also
take a two hour exam on the PADI teaching system, standards and procedure. Here
you can use the instructor manual and other help.
You will also have to
show your teaching skills in the pool, the ocean and the class-room. Everything
goes according to plan and before you know what happened you are congratulated
and can call yourself PADI INSTRUCTOR!
After graduating we will help you
with useful information on available jobs here in South-East Asia or in Scandinavia.
Many new instructors also choose to become Medic First Aid instructors,
which takes two days. This is normally done directly after the IE. Therefore it’s
good to take these two days into consideration when planning for your vacation.
